Ever wondered what it would be like to look at a billboard and see your photograph displayed 48 feet wide from a block away? I’ll confess I’ve daydreamed more than once as I’ve driven past them. The thought was always relegated to the “Not Likely” list. Now I’ll know! I was recently among 30 Atlanta artists chosen by ArtPopStreetGallery #ArtPopATL to have work displayed on a billboard for a full year! I’ve loved this image since I shot it in Grayton Beach, FL back in November of 2017, but it had yet to find a home (how I refer to shots living on my computer but not officially used in the wild). When I read the submission guidelines for the ArtPop competition, this photo rocketed to the top of a new list: billboard competitor. It will move around Atlanta as a static (traditional) billboard and also appear on many more digital billboards, in Marta stations and at the airport. Having so much fun being part of this! Thanks to a whole host of people and businesses for making this happen and supporting the arts in Atlanta and beyond.
