Ever since I began sharing my photography people have expressed a desire to travel along side as I shoot. Probably the most common remark is, "Do you need anyone to carry your bags?" But I've got a better idea... Let's have someone else carry the bags and you and I will just carry cameras!
My trip to Kenya in the fall of 2008 was as others who'd made the journey had predicted.
"Africa changes you. Once you return you'll soon be wondering when you can go back again."
This isn't Kansas Toto. From the moment you make the commitment the excitement begins to build. Over months, days will click by slowly until planning gives way to actually packing bags and cameras. If your first trip, you will undoubtedly imagine challenging conditions and difficulty communicating (or eating) in such a foreign environment. But concerns will quickly vanish as you are embraced by the hospitality of a beautiful people who are genuinely thrilled you've come to appreciate the natural wonder that is Kenya. Even the most jaded traveler waxes poetically when asked to describe the experience of standing through the roof of a Land Cruiser as a herd of elephants passes on all sides, close enough to reach out and touch. And when a mysterious leopard emerges from the bush to look you in the eye as he approaches, words fail. But your photographs won't.
I want to relive these experiences and I want to share them with you. I've created an itinerary you'll never forget, spending two weeks following tracks legendary adventurers have paved, exploring some of the most remarkable wildlife areas on the planet.
